Mr. Timothy Wilson has over 14 years of experience in public education technology management. Mr. Wilson started his career in 2006 at Central Westmoreland CTC as a Networking Technician before taking over as Technology Coordinator. In 2016, he became Technology Coordinator of Mon Valley CTC.
While working at both CTCs, he was responsible for developing and deploying up and coming initiatives at the time such as BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) integration. He was also responsible for helping to transform traditional vocational shops into technology-friendly collaboration areas for instructors and students.
In 2019, Mr. Wilson became the Technology Coordinator and Network Administrator for the McKeesport Area School District. In just a short time, he has been able to expand wireless access across the district, manage a one-to-one initiative and organize a technology device refresh district wide. The goal is to help provide the tools and knowledge needed for a successful 21st century learning environment that incorporates new and emerging technologies to help prepare students for their futures.
