Dr. Tia M. Wanzo is a resident and graduate of McKeesport.  She attended Centennial Elementary, Cornell Middle School, and graduated from McKeesport High School in 1997.  Tia received her BA in Elementary Education from Clarion University.  Later, she obtained a degree in Educational Leadership from Carlow University.  She will graduate from Duquesne University in December 2014 with her Professional Doctorate in Educational Leadership. 

Tia has spent her entire career in the McKeesport Area School District as:  Fifth grade teacher at Francis McClure Middle School, Second grade teacher at White Oak Elementary School, Fourth grade teacher at Cornell Intermediate School, Assistant Principal at Founders’ Hall Middle School, and Ninth grade principal at McKeesport High School. 

Tia is dedicated and involved in her community.  She is married and has two children.
