McKeesport Area Technology Center
The McKeesport Area Technology Center (MATC) offers a wide range of career and technical education opportunities for 10th through 12th grade students in the McKeesport Area School District. Its mission is to provide high-quality, hands-on programs that prepare students for both immediate employment and further education by integrating academic skills with practical training.
Through partnerships with local businesses and industry, students can participate in work-based learning experiences like internships and cooperative education that reinforce classroom instruction with real-world applications. Many programs also offer pathways to post-secondary credits or industry-recognized credentials, helping students transition smoothly into careers or higher education. MATC emphasizes a supportive environment that nurtures individual interests and talents while fostering responsibility and a larger, community-based perspective.
