About the Board

The MASD Board of School Directors meet in regular session on the 1st and 2nd Thursday of each month, with the exception of July, August, November and December. Sessions begin at 7:30 p.m. in the board room at the district administration building, located at 3590 O’Neil Boulevard in McKeesport. There are no meetings in the month of July or November. Other special meetings may be called when necessary and will be publicly announced.

Residents of the McKeesport Area School District are invited to attend. Citizens wishing to address the board, at a scheduled meeting, must place their names on a designated sign-in sheet located at the business office. This sheet is available up to 10 minutes prior to the start of the meeting.

Members of the school board of directors encourage parents and guardians to be actively involved, in all areas of the district, by attending board and building level meetings and by joining organizations such as PTAs, parent activity groups and councils.
