Facilities

The Facilities Department at McKeesport Area School District is responsible for maintaining and operating all district buildings and grounds to ensure a safe, clean, and functional environment for students and staff. This includes routine maintenance, repairs, custodial services, and oversight of building systems such as heating, ventilation, and electrical infrastructure. The department also manages groundskeeping, ensuring that outdoor spaces are well-kept and suitable for school activities. 

In addition to daily operations, the Facilities Department supports long-term planning and improvement of district properties. This includes coordinating capital projects, renovations, and upgrades to school buildings, as well as ensuring compliance with safety codes and regulations. By working closely with district leadership, the department helps create and sustain learning environments that support educational goals and community use.
