High School Biology: Illinois Biology Storylines, Grade 10
MASD’s high school biology program uses Illinois Biology Storylines, developed through the NGSS Biology Storylining Working Group led by Dr. Jason Crean and Kristin Rademaker. This resource supports phenomenon-driven, inquiry-based science learning, where students investigate real-world biological questions, develop models, analyze evidence, and build scientific explanations over time. Students engage in collaboration, reading, writing, discussion, and hands-on learning while deepening their understanding of major biology concepts and science practices.
