McKeesport Area School District will follow the below schedule for report cards throughout the 2026-27 school year.

Grading (Secondary)

MAHS students are offered opportunities to enroll in advanced courses. For these courses a special 110 weighted grade is used. These courses include AP Language and Composition, AP Literature and Composition, AP Government and Politics, AP United States History, AP Psychology, AP Environmental Science, French IV, German IV, Spanish IV. The Calculus course is taught in conjunction with the University of Pittsburgh and may be taken for college credit. Pre-AP English 9, Pre-AP English 10 and all Honors Courses (except Honors English 9 and 10) are 105 weighted courses. No AP course may be taken as a pass/fail credit or as an independent study.

Note: Pre-AP and AP students scoring 70% or below do not receive a weighted grade. All weighted courses follow a standard grade conversion chart.

  • A: 90 – 100
  • B: 80 – 89
  • C: 70 – 79
  • D: 60 – 69
  • F: 59 - below
