• In compliance with Board Policy No.801-AR-2, the McKeesport Area School District establishes the following fee structure in accordance with the law and the Office of Open Records guidelines.

       •Copies: 25 cents per page

      (A copy is either a single-sidedcopy or one side of a double-sided copy of a standard 8.5" x 11"page.)

      •Certification of a Record:$1.00 per record, not per page

      •Specialized documents, for example, but not limited to, blue prints, color copies, non-standard sized documents: Actual Cost

       •Facsimile/Microfiche/Other Media: Actual Cost

       •Redaction Fee: No Redaction Fee

      •Postage Fees: Fees for postage will be the actual cost  of Mailing

       

      After filing a request, a response will be issued within 5 business days. 

      The public has the right to access and procure copies of public records, within certain exceptions, subject to law, Board policy and administrative regulations.

      FILING AN APPEAL
       
      When a request is denied or deemed denial, a requester may file an appeal to the Pennsylvania Office of Open Records.  The appeal must be filed within 15 business days of the denial or deemed denial date.  The appeal must also include the request, agency denial if one exists, address agency grounds that the request was denied, and state why you believe the records are public records.  An appeals officer will determine if the record(s) is subject to public access.
