Winter Guard is a competition group. Their performances are held in the gymnasium. They learn choreographed routines and are trained on flags, rifles, and sabres. The Winter Guard practices from November through May and competes in tournaments in the Tri-State area. The also compete in the Atlantic Coast Championships held in Wildwood, New Jersey the first weekend of May every year. Try-outs are held every May for the upcoming season. In order to participate in Winter Guard, you must be a student at the high school and be in good academic standing.
