The Interact Club is a dynamic worldwide community service organization with 8,600 clubs in some 110 countries. We are sponsored by the Turtle Creek Rotary Club, a member of Rotary International. "Inter" is for INTERNATIONAL and "act" is for ACTION, therefore some of our projects have international betterment in mind. We were officially chartered in 2000 and have since maintained an average of some 20-40 annual members. We meet every Tuesday after school in Room 149 for 30-45 minutes to coordinate our monthly activities.
Students have tremendous leadership and service opportunities available and may even use those hours to fulfill their graduation requirement for service within the community. We participate yearly in many leadership and service opportunities, as well as field trip outings and fundraisers. Presently, we serve at a local soup kitchen and have completed several service projects.
Students must demonstrate honesty and academic integrity, as well as active club participation to maintain membership status within the Interact Club. The membership fee and yearly dues are $10 and the club is open to all grade levels at the high school.
